Cognizant is an S&P 500 international corporation that provides custom B2B technology services. It's the third largest IT company in the world and it prides itself for pushing the limits of technology. The annual event is designed to inspire innovation, hosting thought-leaders from around the world.
Creative Direction / Presentation Design / Event Production
In Partnership with: Rezin8, AV Concepts, Atmosphere Proximity, Liquid Arts Media
As the event’s creative director, I oversaw the development of all on-screen graphics for the event’s massive 202’ wrap screen. Myself and a creative team of five executed conference branding, motion graphics, presentation templates, and presentation design.
The primary challenge was in delivering a fresh approach to their annual conference, while staying squarely within the confines of their highly restrictive brand guide. Only two specific colors (bright blue & green), a pre-defined set of corporate graphic elements, and a single typeface, interstate, were to be used.
Mood Board
I started with mood boards, working within their comfort zone. I focused on explorations in motions and texture rather than color, type and graphics. They were drawn to the idea of animating an entire city, which we created for the conference opening.
Final Conference Graphics
The final set of conference graphics included an opening video, holding and transition animations, speaker title animations, and full screen static backdrops. In my role as creative director, I collaborated with Atmosphere Proximity to provided static story boards for the opening sequence; and oversaw the production of all video and motion graphic elements done by Liquid Arts Media.
Presentations
I had the pleasure of designing decks for some of the brightest speakers I’ve worked with yet. Of the 14 speakers total, I designed 8 presentations over the course of 3 intense days.

In addition to a full presentation redesign, I created this full screen graphic by collaging equations from his very own 181 page thesis with a watercolor background.

My task was to showcase this charismatic artist’s work in an impactful but intimate way. With no rehearsal or review possible with him before the show, I had one chance to take his folder of images and create a show. Despite the seeming simplicity of it, there were numerous carefully made decisions that lead to a memorable response from him after the show,
“Thank you so much, that was incredible! My work has never looked better.”
